Hi! I am Mari, a creative professional, living in Oulu, Finland. Creativity in its various forms is a passion and a way of life for me. I am always looking for the best possible solutions, customer needs above. Understanding human behavior creates the basis for design process. I have spent much of my career in health technology as a product and usability designer.

In addition to design work, I make visual art as well as illustrations using various techniques. Making art takes me to whole new worlds and is a big part of my well-being. In art, I am inspired by the human mind, the society and nature.

In art, I am inspired by the human mind, the society and nature. In design, the human and its needs always starts the process, and is in the center from idea to the product.

In free time, I spend time in nature with my family and our dog. In the dark evenings of northern Finland, the best things in life are wool socks, a corner of a sofa and a huge cup of coffee. In the spring times, you might find me from cross-country skiing tracks. When the right inspiration strikes, I may also renovate our hundred-year-old house.

At the moment, I am open mainly for commissioned artwork.
